Editing Excerpt

Sorry for the simple question - I've tried most everything that I can think of and searched the doc.

How do you edit an excerpt from Live Writer after the article has been published and you re-read the article from the server at a later time? F2 isn't enabled and I can't view the split.

What am I missing ?

Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the delay in response. Is there a page where I can see this post. Even better would be if there was an account I could use to log in through WLW to see what's happening.

Also, are you using News Articles or is this for another module such as DNNArticle?

Now I'm seeing some Blog 0 errors on other accounts, so I'll go ahead and upgrade to the latest Ventrian module so that it will probably match what you test with

Just for ref, I'm using -

Released Live Writer 12
metaPost 1.2.7
Ventrian News Articles 6.16 - I know that this is older (actually Aug. 1), but Ventrian was rolling out so many releases
in Aug. and Sept., that I was leary and stuck with what was working. I'll upgrade to the new 7.17, but didn't want to
confuse the issue unless you know it to be related to the older version.

Sorry for the delay in updating this. I also wanted to re-verify my understanding of the Ventrian workflow and how metaPost lined up with this. I think that there may be a question that I'm left with there, but will make it a new post.

As far as the original Blog 0 problem, it looks like updating to the latest versions of metaPost and Ventrian made it go away. Sometimes I really don't want to update one to get changes in the other, but I'll get over it and just keep both updated to the latest.

I'm glad to hear that the latest update fixed the issue. And I'm with you on the pace of updates. It's been hard for me to keep up with Scott too :).
