Hi Don,
at the moment metaPost Professional Edition supports a per Portal security interface at host level. I wonder if in future version (maybe in next mayor release) we are expecting a more granular security. Since I am pretty sure I am not clear at all when I try to explain my thoughts, I will bore you considering this scenario:
- A DNN host buys a 20 license pack, then enables a per Portal user quota charging the respective Administrators for the corresponding fee. Portal Administrators earn user quotas and assign them to their users until the quota is reached. Every user earns his user account in metaPost.
- At host level, settings include: enabling/disabling portals and setting max user quotas. At admin level, settings include: enabling/disabling users, image upload path, a shared footer for every user, enabling/disabling custom user footer, max image size, description mandatory/or not. At user level, settings include: customizing user footer (if available).
This is only a draft, I am not very experienced in module development, so I don't know if this could work or if I'm on a wrong way. Anyway, metaPost already rocks, so even if these features are not in ITC's plans yet, happy metaPosting to everyone!
Best regards,
Dario Rossa
